🚶‍♂️ Get lost on Sundays

Barcelona_Sunday, November 6th, 2022

I take the metro without knowing what my stop will be.
I end up in a little village in the suburbs of Barcelona, a place I would have probably never visit otherwise.

I decide that the only way to go back home was walking, without using any map.

The goal is simple: get lost and create my own references during my wander.

I red that the first proper form of 'three-dimensional art' was the simple gesture of erecting stones and rocks from their natural horizontal to vertical position.
A gesture that wasn't born with an artistic value but rather functional in that it was useful to trace paths.

I try to act in the same way, adapting my wandering to what the space offers through simple gestures useful to mark my passage.

I decide that the recovered objects should remain in the area where they are found, giving me the only possibility to change their arrangement.

The result is composed by exercises that belong to a well-defined time and space and have an extremely intimate and personal value.

I wonder what would happen if each of us would trace our passage with simple gestures as those stones once did.

I would be curious to see how the urban space (playground) would be filled with ephemeral creations, each with its own meaning and history.

How would your stones look like?
